Nut milks are simple beverages made from nuts or seeds and water. The good fat, protein, and nutrients in nuts make them similar in taste and comparable to dairy milk, but without all the gross stuff (animal cruelty, blood, puss, and hormones!!) that comes along with conventional, pasteurized cow milk, and they’re way more digestible.
Nut milks are a vegan staple, and are gaining popularity even among the omnivorous crowd! Often, packaged nut milks found in stores can contain artificial flavoring, preservatives, additives, pasteurized nuts, and can be loaded with sugar and GMOs.
Making nut milk at home means you use only the ingredients you want, plus they’re so simple to make!
